All correspondence about your application and the position you applied for are sent through email including invites to test or interview and test and ranking scores.  These emails are sent to the email address you provided on your application.  Prior to contacting Washoe County Human Resources, check your email spam folder. 

If Washoe County emails are automatically going to your spam folder:

  • In Outlook, select Actions tab
  • Scroll down to Junk Mail and select Junk Mail email options
  • Select Safe Sender tab
  • Select Add and type careers@washoecounty.us in the box and click Okay
  • Click Apply

Washoe County’s careers email address is now a safe sender and should go directly into your Inbox.
