Reno, Nevada. Celebrate the season of the turkey by bringing the family to Rancho San Rafael Regional Park’s “Meet the Turkeys” Open House from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2012.

Activities include family crafts and a story corner inside the Main Ranch House, a scavenger hunt in the May Arboretum and, of course, the chance to meet some live turkeys and find out for yourself why Benjamin Franklin thought them worthy of being named our national bird. Park Rangers Marie Fong and Bill Ware will provide more turkey facts than you ever wanted to know. Bring your camera for great fall photos with the turkeys.
