On behalf of all Washoe County, we would like to express our deepest sympathies to all the individuals and families affected in the bombing at the Boston Marathon on Monday. Our thoughts and prayers go out to them. We also want to express our great appreciation to the first responders and bystanders who rushed to help the victims. We are thankful that it appears that all the Northern Nevadans affected by this tragedy are safe, but we know they will forever remain shaken by this event. We will commit any and all support our County can provide if needed to assist the victims and help authorities to find and bring the perpetrators to justice. We also want to remind people to be vigilant and mindful of their environment and to report anything suspicious to the Nevada Threat Analysis Center at 775-687-0450, or at http://dps.nv.gov. We all stand together.
Chairman, Washoe County Commission
