Reno, Nevada. April 3, 2014. Washoe County is encouraging all employees who would like to participate to bring their child or children to work Friday, April 4, 2014. While Take Your Child to Work Day is generally observed the fourth Thursday of April, the County has scheduled the event for Friday to coincide with the Washoe County School District’s spring break.

County Manager John Slaughter, a Washoe County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit and a Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District (TMFPD) fire truck and firefighters are scheduled to welcome the children to the event at 8 a.m. Friday.

Who: County Manager John Slaughter, firefighters from TMFPD and members of the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit will welcome the children of County employees to the County Complex. Washoe County Library System will also be on hand to offer students information on the Summer Reading Program, special events and to hand out some prizes.
