Reno, Nevada. April 9, 2014. Join Rail City Garden Center, News Talk 780 KKOH, the May Arboretum Society and Arboretum Volunteers for the “Keep it Clean and Green” annual volunteer spring cleanup day at Washoe County’s Wilbur D. May Arboretum, Saturday, April 12, 2014.
“Keep it Clean and Green” at the Wilbur May Arboretum is an all-age volunteer event with hands-on work throughout the County’s public garden. “Join us for a day in the garden that will benefit thousands of other arboretum visitors throughout the year,” Arboretum Horticulturist Bill Carlos said.
Bring a rake if possible. Bags will be supplied. There will also be tools there available for use. Refreshments, including coffee and muffins, have been donated to the event by Costco.

The Wilbur D. May Arboretum and Botanical Garden is a living museum and active educational resource, illustrating how plant life adapts and survives in the rugged climate between the Sierra Nevada and Great Basin. The Arboretum was created in 1982 with funding from the Wilbur D. May Foundation. The Arboretum enjoys continued support from the Wilbur D. May Foundation, members of the May Arboretum Society and the community at large.
