Reno, Nevada. May 7, 2014. Public safety agencies from throughout Washoe County will hold a crime prevention and safety fair at the South Valley Volunteer Fire Station #227 Saturday, May 10 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

“Lights, Sirens, Safety” is free and the public is encouraged to attend to learn about a variety of crime prevention and personal safety topics. Safety fair visitors may take part in interactive demonstrations, equipment exhibits, free blood pressure testing and more. The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office will also provide free safety activity books for children.

Organizations scheduled to participate include: Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District, Care Flight, Washoe County Sheriff’s Office (Patrol, Motors, K-9, Reserves, Sheriff’s Mobile Auxiliary Response Team), Community Emergency Response Team, AlertID/Neighborhood Watch, Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful and Emergency Services Dispatch Center.
