Bowers Mansion hosts special concert series through June.

Reno, Nevada. May 27, 2014. Programs on the Porch is back with a half a dozen fantastic, musical performances for you through the end of June. A variety of musicians will showcase their talents every Friday night for the next five weeks from the porch of the historic Bowers Mansion.

“We are very excited to continue this series; we are able to feature great local artists in one of the most beautiful and unique venues in all of Northern Nevada. Whether you are a native Nevadan or new to the area, this is a great way to spend an evening,” said Bryan Harrower Park Ranger II-Mt. Rose District.

WHAT: Programs on the Porch at Bowers Mansion

WHEN: Friday, May 30 at 7 p.m.

WHERE: Bowers Mansion at 4005 US Highway 395 North, Carson City, NV.

DETAILS: The concert series is free, however donations are accepted. Please bring a blanket or lawn chair.

  • June 6 -  Westwind
  • June 13 - Slide Mountain Band
  • June 20 - Northern Nevada Bluegrass
  • June 27- Blarney Band

The recently renovated historic Bowers Mansion in Washoe Valley is also open for self-guided tours from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $5 for adults and $3.50 for seniors and children.
