Reno, Nevada. Aug. 27, 2014. Washoe County Regional Animal Services is hosting a public workshop tonight in an effort to receive input from the community about proposed changes to the animal control ordinance, Washoe County Code (WCC) Chapter 55.

The public workshop will be held tonight at Wilbur D. May Center at Rancho San Rafael Regional Park from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The workshop will cover the retail sales and commercial breeding of animals.

When: Wednesday, Aug. 27, at 5:30 p.m.

Where: Wilbur D. May Center, Rancho San Rafael Regional Park (1595 N. Sierra Street, Reno)

Note: Assistant County Manager and Interim Director of Washoe County Regional Animal Services Kevin Schiller will be available for media interviews at 5 p.m.

Additional workshops for nuisance issues and other topic areas will be held Monday, Sept. 29 and Wednesday, Oct. 1. Details will be posted as available on www.washoecounty.us/openwashoe .

Those unable to attend the workshops are encouraged to provide input online at Open Washoe.
