Reno, Nevada.  Sept. 30, 2014. The November 4 General Election is fast approaching and if you plan on voting, you need to make sure to register right away.

The last day to register to vote or update your voter registration by mail or through an outside agency is Saturday, Oct. 4. 

Between Oct. 6 and 14, registration and updates can only be made in person at the Washoe County Registrar of Voters Office or online using the Secretary of State’s website http://www.nvsos.gov/ .

To register in person:

• Registrar of Voters Office is located at 1001 E. Ninth St., Building A, 1st floor, Reno

• Office hours: Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Extended registration hours will begin Saturday, Oct. 11. The Registrar’s Office will be open Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 11 and 12, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 13 and 14, the Registrar’s Office will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
