Reno, Nevada. Oct. 2, 2014. Eastlake Blvd., at exit 44 on I-580 to Washoe Lake State Park, is temporarily closed due to underground water impeding construction in the area. The Washoe County road is scheduled to reopen later in the day.

While road crews worked in the area, underground water pushed to the surface and needs to be diverted before construction can continue. All drivers are asked to avoid the area until the road is back open.

The Eastlake Boulevard Improvement Project includes new asphalt and micro sealing of the pavement. Washoe County is contracting with Granite Construction for the $1.6 million project and is scheduled for 60 working days.
