Reno, Nevada. Oct. 2, 2014. The South portion of Eastlake Blvd. is scheduled to reopen tonight at 6 p.m.

Eastlake Blvd., at exit 44 on I-580, was temporarily closed earlier today due to underground water impeding construction in the area.

Eastlake Blvd. from exit 44 on I-580 to Washoe Lake State Park will close again tomorrow at 8:30 a.m., while crews continue to remove the underground water from the area.

The Eastlake Boulevard Improvement Project includes new asphalt and micro sealing of the pavement. Washoe County is contracting with Granite Construction for the $1.6 million project and the project is scheduled for 60 working days.
