Reno, Nev. Nov. 5, 2014. Celebrate the season of the turkey by bringing the family to Rancho San Rafael Regional Park’s “Meet the Turkeys” Open House from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014 and Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014.

Activities include family crafts and a story corner inside the Discover Room, a scavenger hunt and, of course, the chance to meet some live turkeys and find out for yourself why Benjamin Franklin thought them worthy of being named our national bird. Park Rangers, Marie Fong and Bob Holland, will provide more turkey facts than you ever wanted to know. Bring your camera for great fall and Thanksgiving photos with the turkeys in our photo corner by the main barn.
