Stuff-A-Bus and help seniors this holiday season on Tuesday, Nov. 25.

Reposted on behalf of RTC

Reno, NV. Nov. 18, 2014. Donate new items for seniors and receive a free skate rental for the ice rink at Aces Ballpark. The event is taking place on the opening day for the rink, which is Tuesday, Nov. 25. Washoe County is joining with RTC, the City of Reno, City of Sparks and the Reno Aces to collect items from noon until 8 p.m.

We are asking for the community’s help to stuff an RTC electric bus with donations. Suggested donations include: coats, jackets, tooth brushes, adult diapers, denture cleaner, scarfs, gloves, hats, small heaters, slippers, pajamas and gift cards, among other items.

“Sadly, it’s difficult for some seniors to afford simple hygiene items, and so community drives like this one really make a difference in the lives of seniors,” County Commission Chairman and RTC Commissioner David Humke said.

Commission Vice Chair and RTC Commissioner Bonnie Weber said this is an opportunity for the community to really step up and show their support.

“I hope everyone shows the seniors just how much the community cares by helping stuff the bus."
