Animal Services has seen its return to owner rate in Washoe County increase 30 percent the past two years due to microchips. A grant provided by Maddie’s Fund has covered the costs of the microchips.

“The successful efforts made by staff and volunteers of Washoe County Regional Animal Services to reunite people with their lost pets is admirable” said Animal Services Director Shyanne Schull. “The microchip identification is simple, effective and free for Washoe County residents.”
