Neighborhood Stabilization Program
Washoe County and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development are announcing the availability of four (4) single bedroom units located at 842 Spokane Street, Reno, Nevada. These units are designated for seniors aged 62 and up and are currently available.
These units are designed to allow accessibility for people with disabilities. They will be leased to seniors whose income is at 50% of the Area Medium Income (AMI) or less ($23,800 for a single individual or $27,200 for two). The leasing of these units will be in accordance with the Fair Housing Act, and Washoe County does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age or disability.
Rent is set at $603 per month, utilities are included.
Please be aware that these units will only be leased to those applicants who meet the following considerations:
- Age 62 and older for all occupants
- No more than 2 seniors per unit
- Acceptable rental history/landlord check
- Criminal background check (No felony conviction for drug trafficking, violence or sex offences within 5 years of application)
- Income verification-have to be below 50% AMI for Washoe County (see above).
In addition, these units have a non-smoking policy and pets (other than service animals) are not allowed.
